Wait a second.... Kadri, Reimer, and Gardiner are heading out of town? Haven't I heard for the last couple years how awesome these guys are and how much better than other teams young player they are?

Yeah, I'm flaming it up a bit lol. It seems a common theme with these three is attitude. Reimer seems pissy that he has been jerked around by TO (I would be too after taking the team to the playoffs and having to hear that they were trying to acquire 3 or 4 different goalies to take his spot at the time), Kadri seems to be a bit entitled and judging by the comment quoted in this blog he is not a happy camper when asked why he doesn't produce, and Gardiner had his whole "Free Jake Gardiner" campaign before which would suggest he also has a sense of entitlement with regards to playing in the show.

Hmmm, easiest one to move with a decent return would be Reimer, but if there's a lack of production and, perceived, attitude issues with the other two it may be harder to get a proper return.

Also, is TO keeping Franson around? He's a good player.

Step one is to fire Nonis. Kadri has been a failure, having been given the ample opportunities to prove himself I'd say his days are numbered.

I'm thinking it's Kadri, Gardiner, Reimer for Luongo.

First of all, Reimer shouldn't be pissy at all considering he plays the puck like the local beer league goalies I play against and lets in some pretty soft goals. Yes, Bernier has let in some softies but the dude has stolen games for us this year. Reimer has had his 2 or so years to develop and he seems to be the same old floppy guy he started out as. That's the truth.

Second of all, the quote you're speaking of is Kadri angry at the press for asking him why didn't produce in a single game with new line-mates. That isn't the same thing as the general statement of "why he doesn't produce" like you said. The latter would involve the entire season. If you want to have an argument about whether or not Kadri has produced a sufficient amount this season as a whole, fine, but you're going at it wrong.

Third, Gardiner's agent is the one who did that poop with "Free Gardiner." Gardiner hasn't so much as said a peep this season and has realized that his defensive game was lacking early on. Since then, he has stepped it up and is looking better. Trade or no trade: with correct coaching, Gardiner will be a good defenseman for any team in the years coming.

Im actually very pissed off that Kadri is involved in trade talks. A skinner for kadri trade makes absolutely no sense. Skinner is injury prone and gets injured always. Gleason for liles sure, but i dont like this at all

If the leafs trade the next dougy gilmour "kadri" i give up on this team legit, there is no NEED to trade KADRI unless the player is immensely better than him, and Skinner is NOT THE ANSWER.

I dont see how our offense is troubled. Kadri is a main piece of this hockey club, the only thing Nonis should be working on is our GODAMN defense squad. Gleason for Liles is a short term fix, while Girardi would be a nice acquisition. I dont think offense is really the struggle with bozak back and bolland coming back soon.

Geesus i hate hearing this crap pisses me off, if Nonis (frank)s up who is ready to burn down the ACC?

yeah a soon to be vegetable is way better, the guy is reckless and makes himself vulnerable to get seriously injured.... nor has the guy had much faceoff experience, since he has been playing majority of games on the wing

I'm just saying that a common theme is being disgruntled in the media. I'm honestly surprised that TO is in the position with these three players. Those points I mentioned in my post were the first things to come to mind as a common theme.

I also realize that Gardiner's agent did that crap on the internet but if Gardiner could have put a swifter end to it. In regards to the NHL fraternity, they don't look highly on things like that. It's a "shut your mouth and earn your shot" mentality as a young player. Example from my team would be Louis Leblanc's gf shooting off a tweet saying that the Canadiens cut him too early and she female doged. The tweet was taken down almost immediately, i assume, at the request of Leblanc because he knows that crap won't fly. I believe the "Free Gardiner" thing went on for a little while, didn't it? Maybe I'm wrong and ppl were just talking about it a lot.

Either way, I'm still surprised all three of these players appear to be on the move.

Its because big medias like Montreal and Toronto are impatient. They are all a bunch of bumholes with no patience, then these so called players leave Toronto and become stars. I dont think it is a wise decision to move the next crowned dougy gilmour kadri, even if it is for a guy like skinner, i actually perceive skinner and kadri to be similar players points wise, just skinner hasnt had much faceoff experience spending majority of his time on the wing, hes not really a tough player, and puts himself in vulnerable positions to get seriously injured. Id rather kadri to be honest, dont want a vegetable
Same goes with gards and reimer. Is it wise to trade reimer when both are good goalies and both are good to put in? Is it wise to trade gards so soon, we also have franson we can dangle, i expect at least one of them to be traded? Unless the leafs are getting a spectacular deal that we cant refuse or something remotely equal or better than sure why not. Anyone can be traded, but i expect certain trades, like these, to help us immensely if we start doing package deals

We picked up Bernier, so Reimer is a luxury most teams don't have.
Gardiner might be moved because of the emergence of Rielly, and we have a lot of offensive minded d-men already.

These two have performed well this year, and probably hold a lot of trade value.
Kadri I doubt is going anywhere, RC is just trying to ignite his game

Skinner is a -37 over the last basically season and a half of games and hasnt exactly shown the 30 goal form from his rookie year (minus his current hot streak)
Naz had 20 points more than him last year so way better is a stretch, for the record I would take Skinner over Kadri

I don't understand the talk of trading or dangling Franson. Do people not see the importance of this guy in our lineup? He's our best and most dependable two-way defenseman, our only right-handed shot on the back end and a big mobile body. We need to sign him long-term. Gardiner will be a good player for years to come but we have too many holes in our lineup that need to be plugged. Gardiner is expendable because we have Gardiner Jr.......Morgan Rielly quickly emerging. He skates like the wind and from what I've seen, makes less blunders in his own end than Gardiner. Gards can be used to plug up some of those holes.

2 years ago Reimer was with the Leafs.

I always felt bad for Hodgson being drafted by the Canucks, but I doubt Reimer has pissed anybody off enough to be sent to Vancouver as some sort of punishment.
